Hello,
I'm egan

Designer, student, artist, human.

I am passionate about the big picture, crafting seamless experiences that bridge the gap between design and everyday life. I am a 4th-year Industrial Design student at Iowa State University with hands-on internship experience in UX Design at Northwestern Mutual and in e-Commerce and Marketing at J. J. Keller & Associates. My diverse academic background—spanning design, engineering, and social sciences—coupled with real-world experience in fast-paced, agile environments, has equipped me to approach every project with a highly collaborative, systems-thinking mindset.

Outside of my professional work, I never stop designing; I love to do printmaking, sketching, and painting whenever possible. I am also an avid cyclist, climber, and hiker. The interconnectedness of natural systems constantly inspires my work and fuels my creative process.

As I continue to grow in my design journey, I’m excited to collaborate, learn, and tackle new challenges. Let’s connect and explore how we can create innovative, impactful solutions together!

I believe that great design is born from research, strategy, and collaborative environments.

My approach

Deep Dive Research

I begin by stepping into the shoes of the stakeholders. Through in-depth research, I discover the hidden needs and challenges unique to each project.

Strategic Design

I don't just make pretty pictures. I align my work with product, engineering, and business goals to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Pushing Boundaries

Always keeping an eye on current and future design and business trends, I design for current needs with the future in mind. Design longevity is crucial.

Co-Design Facilitation

I believe in the power of co-design, the incorporation of those not designated as designers into the design process. Designers should act as facilitators in this process, allowing industry experts to drive design decisions.

Collaborative Iteration

Collaboration in the design process is vital. I see communication as the most important part of my work, from visual communication to sending emails.

Measurable Impact

I always aim to provide impact that is measurable in terms of user experience positivity and economic growth.
